You are about to spend €100, €300 or €400 on a rug you have never touched. Before you check out, you type “Casemira reviews” into Google. That is exactly the right thing to do. This article brings together everything you need to form an opinion about us, with the sources to check each point without having to take our word for it.
1. Checking a website is a healthy instinct
Online retail counts thousands of serious shops and a minority of problematic sites. The trouble is that at first glance they all look alike: the same polished photos, the same promises, the same design.
The difference shows elsewhere. In what a brand agrees to make verifiable.
Four checks are usually enough to form a view, whatever the shop:
- Is the legal identity published? A serious company displays its full legal notice, with a registration number anyone can look up.
- Can you reach a human? A phone number that puts you through to someone is worth more than a contact form.
- Are the return conditions written in black and white? A site that stays vague about returns rarely has good reasons.
- Are the negative reviews still readable? What counts is not the average rating, but the fact that criticism is still online and has been answered.
We assume you are going to run those four checks. We may as well give you the answers and the links straight away.
2. A French brand you can identify in two clicks
Casemira is published by a French company, registered with the Rennes Trade and Companies Register. The team is based in Brittany.
The registration number, the legal form and the full contact details appear in our legal notice. This information is public and can be cross-checked against the official French company registers: that is the whole point of registration.
In practice, that means three things.
A legal address inside the European Union. If a dispute arises, you are dealing with a company that is identified and registered in the EU, subject to French and European consumer law. That is not a detail: it is what separates a purchase from a properly identified merchant from a purchase on a marketplace whose seller is based outside the European Union.
A named contact. The publication director is identified in our legal notice. There is no screen between you and a person responsible for the content of the site.
Legal obligations that apply. Right of withdrawal, two-year legal guarantee of conformity, guarantee against hidden defects. These guarantees exist independently of what we promise commercially, and we cannot restrict them.
To understand who we are beyond the legal side, our About us page sets out our approach and our selection.
3. Concrete guarantees, verifiable before you buy
A guarantee is only worth something if its conditions are written down and readable before the purchase. Here are ours, exactly as they appear in our returns and refunds policy.
| Guarantee | What it means precisely |
|---|---|
| Legal right of withdrawal | 14 days from delivery, with no reason to give. That is the legal minimum. |
| 30-day money-back guarantee | We extend that window to 30 days. It is a commercial guarantee, which adds to your legal rights without replacing them. |
| 60 days with Premium Worry-free delivery | If you chose this option when ordering, the window goes up to 60 days. |
| Free return postage | Sending the rug back is at our expense, with no conditions. We provide the prepaid label. |
| Free delivery from €100 | Below that, a flat rate of €9.99 applies, in our delivery zone. |
| Secure payment | Card transactions go through Shopify Payments and Stripe, providers certified to the PCI-DSS standard. Your card details never pass through our servers. |
| Payment methods | Card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Klarna in 3 interest-free instalments. |
The point that really counts: the return is free. Plenty of sites announce a money-back guarantee, then leave the return postage to the customer. On a 200 × 290 cm rug, that cost can reach several tens of euros and in practice puts people off returning anything at all. With us, sending it back costs you nothing.
One way to reduce the risk before you even order: the sample. We offer 20 × 30 cm material samples for a selection of 127 models from the catalogue, at €10 each, with free delivery. That amount is deducted in full from the price of the rug if you order it afterwards. See the rug samples collection. Touching the fibre and seeing the colour at home, under your own light, settles most hesitations.
4. What customers say
Our customer reviews page shows an average rating of 4.7/5 from 494 published reviews. Here is the full breakdown.
| Rating | Number of reviews |
|---|---|
| 5 stars | 426 |
| 4 stars | 29 |
| 3 stars | 25 |
| 2 stars | 4 |
| 1 star | 10 |
The 39 reviews of 3 stars or below are online, as readable as the rest. We do not take them down. A reviews page with the criticism removed tells you nothing.
On where these reviews come from, we publish this transparency note directly on the page:
“Most of our reviews come from buyers who tested these same rugs at our European manufacturing partners, translated into English. The most recent ones are collected directly from our own customers after their order. All feedback is published unfiltered.”
In other words: some of these reviews concern the same models sold elsewhere in Europe, and we say so rather than letting you assume 494 orders placed with us. The most recent reviews, for their part, come from our own customers.
A second channel, independent of us: Trustpilot. Our profile has been claimed since May 2026 and is still young: it held 24 reviews for a rating of 4.5/5 on 6 September 2026. The volume is low, the rating is public and outside our control. Trustpilot also shows that we reply to 100% of negative reviews, usually within 24 hours. You can look at the profile directly: Casemira on Trustpilot.
Two sources, two volumes, two collection methods. It is up to you to weigh them.
5. Why some website checkers show a cautious score
If you have searched for “is Casemira reliable”, you may have landed on an automated checking site that gives online shops a trust score. Ours appears there with a cautious score. We may as well explain where it comes from.
These tools are algorithms, not investigations. They do not place an order, do not test customer service, do not read the terms of sale. They cross-reference technical signals that can be automated.
The most heavily weighted signal is the age of the domain name. It is a defensible methodological choice: statistically, fraudulent sites are short-lived, often a matter of months. Penalising recent domains does catch a genuine share of scams.
But that criterion mechanically penalises every new brand. The casemira.com domain was registered at the end of 2025. By the time you read these lines, it is therefore less than two years old. An algorithm that weights age heavily cannot produce anything other than a moderate score, whatever the quality of the service, the number of orders delivered or the legal solidity of the company.
What these scores do not measure: the existence of a verifiable company registration, whether a returns policy is actually applied, the fact that a human picks up the phone, or the real rate of disputes. Yet those are the things that determine what will happen to you if something goes wrong.
Our position is simple. A cautious algorithmic score on a recent domain is a piece of information; it is not a verdict. The right way to use it is to treat it as an invitation to check everything else, not as a conclusion. That is precisely what this article lets you do.
6. Got a question?
The quickest test for judging an online shop is still to call it before buying.
Our customer service team can be reached on 02 59 66 01 35, Monday to Saturday, from 8am to 8pm. By email, at contact@casemira.com, we usually reply within 24 hours.
You can ask us any question before ordering: whether a model works with underfloor heating, the exact composition of a rug, how a return unfolds, the real delivery time on a large size. We also answer the questions that lose us a sale, such as “will this model survive my hallway with two dogs”. A badly chosen rug ends up as a return: nobody wins.
Two ways in, depending on what you need:
- Our FAQ brings together 62 questions sorted by theme: ordering and payment, delivery, returns and guarantee, materials, choosing your rug, care.
- Our contact page lets you write straight to the team, with or without an order number.
7. FAQ: your questions about trust
Your questions about how trustworthy Casemira is
Is Casemira a trustworthy site?
Casemira is published by a French company registered with the Rennes Trade and Companies Register, with a team based in Brittany. The site publishes its full legal notice, a detailed returns policy with return postage at its own expense within 30 days, a phone number answered Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm, and all of its customer reviews without removing the low ratings. Every one of these elements can be checked directly on the site.
Is Casemira a French company?
Yes. The publishing company is registered with the Rennes Trade and Companies Register and the team is based in Brittany. The registration number appears on the legal notice page and can be cross-checked against the public French company registers. The rugs themselves are selected from European textile partners.
Are the reviews published on the site genuine?
They are published unfiltered, including the 1 and 2 star ratings. Of the 494 reviews displayed, 39 are at or below 3 stars and remain online. The page states that most of these reviews come from buyers who tested the same rugs at our European manufacturing partners, translated into English, while the most recent ones are collected from Casemira customers after their order. An independent Trustpilot profile is also available.
Is payment secure on Casemira?
Yes. Card transactions go through Shopify Payments and Stripe, providers certified to the PCI-DSS standard. Your card details never pass through Casemira's servers. The other payment methods accepted are PayPal, Apple Pay and Klarna in 3 interest-free instalments.
How long do I have to return a rug?
Thirty days from delivery, with no reason to give. This window is extended to 60 days if you chose Premium Worry-free delivery when ordering. These windows are a commercial guarantee that adds to the 14-day legal right of withdrawal, without replacing it. The return postage is covered by Casemira in every case, with a prepaid label provided once the request is approved.
How do I reach someone at Casemira before ordering?
By phone on 02 59 66 01 35, Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm, or by email through the contact page, with a reply usually within 24 hours. You can ask any technical question before buying: composition, underfloor heating compatibility, real dimensions, delivery time on a large size, return conditions.
