Abrasion resistance: it copes with foot traffic, chairs and furniture being moved about
Easy cleaning: a hose and a brush, nothing more

The materials that meet all of this are mainly UV-treated polypropylene and recycled PET. Both hose down easily and last for years outdoors.

Which size for which space?

A narrow balcony: 120×170 cm or a runner format at 80×200 cm
A mid-sized terrace with a dining area: 160×230 cm under the table and chairs
A large terrace or outdoor lounge: 200×300 cm or 250×350 cm
Under a pergola or across a big lounge area: 300×400 cm

For an outdoor seating area, the rug should cover the whole seating zone and ideally some of the floor visible in front of it.
