Our wool rugs
The wool rug is the noblest thing a rug can be made of: a 100% natural fibre, known for its softness, its resilience and its long life. Where synthetic fibres flatten over time, wool keeps its volume and its looks for years. It is the choice for homes that want authenticity, comfort and durability all at once.
Why choose wool?
- Naturally stain-resistant: the lanolin in wool repels liquids, so you have time to wipe up before anything soaks in.
- Warm and insulating: wool regulates temperature and moisture, and is a joy underfoot in winter.
- Long-lasting: an elastic fibre that springs back into shape. A well-cared-for wool rug lasts decades.
- Naturally flame-resistant: wool does not catch light easily, which is a genuine safety advantage.
Hand-tufted and hand-woven
Our wool rugs are made by hand: hand-tufted pieces with a plush feel and a dense finish. Worked by hand, wool shows all its depth and holds its own over the years.
Which room?
Wool belongs in the living spaces. In a living room, a large wool rug at 200×300 cm anchors the sofa and warms the whole room. In a bedroom, its softness greets your feet in the morning. Avoid it in the kitchen and the bathroom, where damp does the fibre no favours. For those rooms, choose our machine-washable rugs instead.
Colours and care
The natural tones dominate (beige, ecru, grey, brown) for a timeless look, though wool also takes deep colours beautifully. As for care, regular vacuuming is all it takes. Wool sheds a few fibres in the first weeks (perfectly normal), then settles. Avoid machine washing: treat a stain with cold water and a mild soap, and leave any deep clean to a professional.

All about our wool rugs
Is a wool rug easy to look after?
Is a wool rug easy to look after?
Yes. Regular vacuuming is all it takes day to day. Wool naturally resists
stains thanks to its lanolin: blot spills quickly with a damp cloth and that
is enough. Avoid machine washing, which felts the fibre; for a deep clean,
call in a professional.
Why does my wool rug shed at first?
Why does my wool rug shed at first?
That is normal, and temporary. Short fibres left in the weave work loose during
the first few weeks of use, and a pass of the vacuum lifts them away. It stops
of its own accord and affects neither the quality nor the thickness of the rug.
Does a wool rug suit every room?
Does a wool rug suit every room?
It is ideal for living spaces such as the living room and the bedroom, where its
warmth and softness really tell. Steer clear of damp rooms (kitchen, bathroom):
for those, a machine washable rug is the better choice.
