Oval rugs
An oval keeps the direction of a rectangle without its corners.
Your selection 200 × 290 cm

Made to measure
Runners and stair rugs are cut to the length you want, and the calculator gives it.
Runner
A runner is cut to the length you choose, hemmed and finished to measure.
Tip: 5 cm of space on each side, between the rug and the walls.
Work out my length
We cut to the length you give us. Tip: allow 5 cm of space at each end.
See the rugs (202)Measuring tips
- At floor level, wall to wall, at the narrowest point.
- 5 cm less on each side: that is the width we suggest.
- Then the length of your hallway, end to end.
Good to know
- 5 cm of space on each side is ideal, between the rug and the walls.
- Hem at both ends, included in the length.
- Up to 10 m, subject to availability. Longer is possible: write to us.
Common mistakes
- Measuring between the skirting boards: they often take 2 cm on each side.
- Going for the widest option: a rug that touches the walls curls up.
- Forgetting the doors: a door that rubs damages the rug.
Stairs
A stair rug is counted in steps, and the calculator turns them into metres.
Length we suggest 7.00 m including 59 cm of fitting allowance
One step = about 46 cm of runner: the flat part (28 cm) + the vertical part (18 cm).
Allow a little extra: laid and pressed onto every step, the runner takes a few centimetres more than the calculation. Too long can be trimmed as you fit it; too short cannot be made up.

- Your steps may be different: measure one and multiply.
- The length we suggest already includes this fitting allowance.
- 5 cm of space on each side is ideal, between the runner and the edge of the steps.
- Hem at both ends, included in the length.
- Up to 10 m, subject to availability. Longer is possible: write to us.
