Colourful Berber rugs
Pink, blue, terracotta or green: colour knotted by hand, to your dimensions.
A colourful Berber rug can change the mood of a room on its own. This selection brings together the designs where colour leads: pink, orange or blue motifs on an ecru ground, red or terracotta grounds covered in patterns, stripes and bold blocks of colour.
All are hand-knotted in Morocco in sheep's wool, made to your dimensions to the centimetre, with the fringes of your choice.

Our colourful Berber rugs
Colourful Berber rugs span several families. The Azilal style places bright, free-flowing motifs on an ecru ground. The Boujad style fills the whole field with pink, red or terracotta. Graphic designs play with blocks and lines of colour.
What they share: hand-knotted sheep's wool in which every colour keeps slight variations of tone, which gives depth to the design.
At Casemira, every rug is made to order, to the width and length of your room, to the centimetre.
To choose, pick out a colour you already have at home (a cushion, a painting, a ceramic pot) and look for it in the pattern.
Fringes of your choice at no extra cost, delivered within 3 weeks, with free delivery and free returns for 30 days.
Choosing your colourful Berber rug
Azilal style, Boujad style or graphic: which should I choose?
Azilal style, Boujad style or graphic: which should I choose?
The three families do not bring the same amount of colour:
- Azilal style: ecru ground with scattered coloured motifs. Colour stays an accent and the room keeps its brightness. It is the easiest choice to live with.
- Boujad style: coloured ground with dense motifs across the whole field. The rug becomes the focal point of the room, best paired with calm walls and furniture.
- graphic: blocks, lines and clean shapes, for a more contemporary interior.
If in doubt, start from the colour of your walls: the more neutral they are, the bolder the rug can be.
Is a colourful rug a good idea in a small room?
Is a colourful rug a good idea in a small room?
Yes, as long as you choose the right size. In a small room, a rug that is too small and sits in the middle makes the space look even narrower. It is better to cover most of the floor, leaving 20 to 30 cm clear along the walls.
Because every rug is made to your measurements, you can follow the exact dimensions of the room, even if it is irregular or under the eaves. As for colour, an ecru ground with coloured motifs keeps more brightness than a fully coloured ground.
Pair it with pale walls and few other patterns: the rug is enough to give the room character.
Will the colours of my rug match the photo?
Will the colours of my rug match the photo?
Your rug follows the colours of the photographed reference piece. Two things can still make them vary slightly:
- the wool: every batch of dyed wool has its own nuances, so a pink or a green may be a little lighter or deeper;
- your screen: the settings of your phone or computer change how colours are displayed.
Look at several photos on the product page, including those taken in daylight, to get an accurate idea. And if the result is not right for you once it is at home, returns are free for 30 days, so you can decide in your own light.
