What kind of machine do you need to wash them?

For the 160x230 sizes, a standard 8kg machine is enough.
For the large 200x300 formats, we recommend a 10kg+ machine (or a quick trip to the launderette).
What matters is that the rug isn't packed in too tightly, so the water can circulate properly.

Rest assured, this is a long way from a "plastic sheet". Most of our models are woven from a Cotton & Polyester blend.
The cotton gives a natural feel, breathable and pleasant barefoot, while the polyester keeps the colours fast. It is a flat rug (Jacquard-type weave), so less plush than a wool rug, but far softer and warmer than an outdoor or vinyl rug.

No, it's included! Unlike conventional rugs that slide about, the back of our washable rugs is entirely covered with a layer of anti-slip latex. Once it's down, it doesn't move a millimetre, even when your children run across it or you vacuum. That means money saved and immediate safety.

We strongly recommend drying in the open air to preserve the non-slip coating on the back of the rug. Simply hang it over a line or a clothes airer. Thanks to its breathable material, which doesn't hold water, it dries very quickly (often within a few hours).

Yes, the treatment is designed to last. That said, as with any technical textile, we recommend machine washing the rug only when necessary. Day to day, the water-repellent treatment makes most stains easy to clean with just a little water and some kitchen paper, with no need to run a wash.
