THE RUG IN DETAIL
NATURAL MATERIALS

Blue waves in hand-knotted sheep's wool

Everything you walk on is sheep's wool. Only the base threads, which you cannot see, contain a little cotton to help the rug keep its shape. There is no glued backing: turn the rug over and you can see the knots, as on any hand-knotted rug. The long pile stays plush with every step. The fringes end in small ecru bobbles. You can have them at both ends, at one end, or not at all, at no extra cost. Each wave shifts ever so slightly: that is what makes your rug unique.

  • Sheep's wool (100%): a hard-wearing wool that stands up well to constant comings and goings.
  • Hand-knotted in Morocco: each wave is knotted by hand, which takes weeks.
  • Made to measure, to the centimetre: you give us the width and length, with or without fringes.

Your questions about made to measure

The essential answers before ordering your Berber rug

How do I order a rug in my own dimensions?

Enter the width and length you want, to the centimetre, in the configurator. The price appears instantly: it depends on the surface area of your rug. If your dimensions match a standard size, its exact price applies. Your rug is then knotted to your exact dimensions.

Can I choose the fringes?

Yes, at no extra cost: fringes on both ends, on one end or no fringes. You make this choice when ordering, just below the dimensions.

Will my rug look exactly like the photo?

Each piece is knotted by hand, so it is unique: patterns and density may vary slightly from the photo. These small irregularities are the signature of handwork.

How long does delivery take?

Your rug is made after you order and delivered within 3 weeks. Delivery is free and a tracking link is emailed to you when the parcel leaves.

Can I return a made-to-measure rug?

Yes. As across the whole site, you have 30 days after delivery to return your rug, even when made to your dimensions. Returns are free.

How do I care for a wool Berber rug?

Vacuum regularly without a rotating brush to preserve the pile. If there is a stain, blot it straight away with a dry cloth, without rubbing. For a deep clean, entrust it to a professional rug cleaner.

Where does this rug come from?

It is hand-knotted in Morocco, in mostly sheep’s wool on a wool and cotton base, following the craft of Berber rugs.
