Flat-woven sheep's wool, made by hand

This rug is flat-woven from sheep's wool. Everything you see and touch is wool. A little cotton strengthens the base threads, and nothing more. There is no glued backing: the weave shows on both sides. Its surface is smooth and dense, so it lies flat on the floor. The fringes are up to you, at no extra cost: at both ends, at one end, or none at all. Each piece is one of a kind, with the slight variations of handmade work.

  • Sheep's wool (100%): a strong, densely woven wool that copes well with heavy foot traffic.
  • Hand-woven in Morocco: every row is woven by hand, over several weeks.
  • Made to measure, to the centimetre: you give us the width and length, and the rug is woven to that size.

Your questions about made to measure

The essential answers before ordering your Berber rug

How do I order a rug in my own dimensions?

Enter the width and length you want, to the centimetre, in the configurator. The price appears instantly: it depends on the surface area of your rug. If your dimensions match a standard size, its exact price applies. Your rug is then knotted to your exact dimensions.

Can I choose the fringes?

Yes, at no extra cost: fringes on both ends, on one end or no fringes. You make this choice when ordering, just below the dimensions.

Will my rug look exactly like the photo?

Each piece is knotted by hand, so it is unique: patterns and density may vary slightly from the photo. These small irregularities are the signature of handwork.

How long does delivery take?

Your rug is made after you order and delivered within 3 weeks. Delivery is free and a tracking link is emailed to you when the parcel leaves.

Can I return a made-to-measure rug?

Yes. As across the whole site, you have 30 days after delivery to return your rug, even when made to your dimensions. Returns are free.

How do I care for a wool Berber rug?

Vacuum regularly without a rotating brush to preserve the pile. If there is a stain, blot it straight away with a dry cloth, without rubbing. For a deep clean, entrust it to a professional rug cleaner.

Where does this rug come from?

It is hand-knotted in Morocco, in mostly sheep’s wool on a wool and cotton base, following the craft of Berber rugs.
