THE RUG IN DETAIL
Gros plan sur la laine du tapis berbère Chebbi, poil orange et blanc noué à la main
NATURAL MATERIALS

Two pile heights, in orange and ecru

What you touch is hand-knotted sheep's wool and nothing else. A little cotton goes into the base threads, just for strength. There is no glued backing: every knot shows on the back. The orange shapes have a medium pile, and the ecru background is shorter. The chunky ecru fringes are your choice: at both ends, at one end, or none, at no extra cost. Each rug is one of a kind: its shapes shift a little from one rug to the next.

  • Sheep's wool (100%): a natural, warm wool in a bright orange.
  • Hand-knotted in Morocco: the orange shapes are knotted higher than the shorter ecru areas.
  • Made to measure, to the centimetre: you choose the width and length, with or without fringes, as you like.

Your questions about made to measure

The essential answers before ordering your Berber rug

How do I order a rug in my own dimensions?

Enter the width and length you want, to the centimetre, in the configurator. The price appears instantly: it depends on the surface area of your rug. If your dimensions match a standard size, its exact price applies. Your rug is then knotted to your exact dimensions.

Can I choose the fringes?

Yes, at no extra cost: fringes on both ends, on one end or no fringes. You make this choice when ordering, just below the dimensions.

Will my rug look exactly like the photo?

Each piece is knotted by hand, so it is unique: patterns and density may vary slightly from the photo. These small irregularities are the signature of handwork.

How long does delivery take?

Your rug is made after you order and delivered within 3 weeks. Delivery is free and a tracking link is emailed to you when the parcel leaves.

Can I return a made-to-measure rug?

Yes. As across the whole site, you have 30 days after delivery to return your rug, even when made to your dimensions. Returns are free.

How do I care for a wool Berber rug?

Vacuum regularly without a rotating brush to preserve the pile. If there is a stain, blot it straight away with a dry cloth, without rubbing. For a deep clean, entrust it to a professional rug cleaner.

Where does this rug come from?

It is hand-knotted in Morocco, in mostly sheep’s wool on a wool and cotton base, following the craft of Berber rugs.
