Ecru wool knotted by hand, with a column of colour

The pile is sheep's wool, hand-knotted onto a wool and cotton base, with no added backing: the back shows the weave and the knots. The long, shaggy pile of the ecru field frames the coloured column, whose sage green blends in yellow threads for a heathered effect. The thick fringes are hand-knotted, on both ends, on one end or none, at no extra cost. Each piece is unique: the patterns, density and shades may vary slightly from the photo.

  • Sheep's wool (100%): a natural fibre, warm, hard-wearing and naturally insulating, soft under a long pile.
  • Hand-knotted in Morocco: the four blocks of colour are built knot by knot in the middle of the ecru field, several weeks of work.
  • Made to measure to the centimetre: width and length to your dimensions, choice of fringes, a unique piece knotted for you.

Your questions about made to measure

The essential answers before ordering your Berber rug

How do I order a rug in my own dimensions?

Enter the width and length you want, to the centimetre, in the configurator. The price appears instantly: it depends on the surface area of your rug. If your dimensions match a standard size, its exact price applies. Your rug is then knotted to your exact dimensions.

Can I choose the fringes?

Yes, at no extra cost: fringes on both ends, on one end or no fringes. You make this choice when ordering, just below the dimensions.

Will my rug look exactly like the photo?

Each piece is knotted by hand, so it is unique: patterns and density may vary slightly from the photo. These small irregularities are the signature of handwork.

How long does delivery take?

Your rug is made after you order and delivered within 3 weeks. Delivery is free and a tracking link is emailed to you when the parcel leaves.

Can I return a made-to-measure rug?

Yes. As across the whole site, you have 30 days after delivery to return your rug, even when made to your dimensions. Returns are free.

How do I care for a wool Berber rug?

Vacuum regularly without a rotating brush to preserve the pile. If there is a stain, blot it straight away with a dry cloth, without rubbing. For a deep clean, entrust it to a professional rug cleaner.

Where does this rug come from?

It is hand-knotted in Morocco, in mostly sheep’s wool on a wool and cotton base, following the craft of Berber rugs.
