THE RUG IN DETAIL

NATURAL MATERIALS

Terracotta and small black crosses in hand-knotted wool

The soft, looped pile is all sheep's wool. The base threads contain a little cotton so the rug holds up well. There is no glued backing: turn it over and you can see its knots and its small crosses. You choose the braided fringes: at both ends, at one end, or none at all, at no extra cost. Each runner has its own fine variations, which is how you recognise handmade work.

  • Sheep's wool (100%): a long, looped wool, nice and thick underfoot.
  • Hand-knotted in Morocco: the rectangle and the small crosses are knotted by hand, one by one.
  • Made to measure, to the centimetre: you give us the length and width you need, then choose the fringes.

Your questions about made to measure

The essential answers before ordering your Berber rug

How do I order a rug in my own dimensions?

Enter the width and length you want, to the centimetre, in the configurator. The price appears instantly: it depends on the surface area of your rug. If your dimensions match a standard size, its exact price applies. Your rug is then knotted to your exact dimensions.

Can I choose the fringes?

Yes, at no extra cost: fringes on both ends, on one end or no fringes. You make this choice when ordering, just below the dimensions.

Will my rug look exactly like the photo?

Each piece is knotted by hand, so it is unique: patterns and density may vary slightly from the photo. These small irregularities are the signature of handwork.

How long does delivery take?

Your rug is made after you order and delivered within 3 weeks. Delivery is free and a tracking link is emailed to you when the parcel leaves.

Can I return a made-to-measure rug?

Yes. As across the whole site, you have 30 days after delivery to return your rug, even when made to your dimensions. Returns are free.

How do I care for a wool Berber rug?

Vacuum regularly without a rotating brush to preserve the pile. If there is a stain, blot it straight away with a dry cloth, without rubbing. For a deep clean, entrust it to a professional rug cleaner.

Where does this rug come from?

It is hand-knotted in Morocco, in mostly sheep’s wool on a wool and cotton base, following the craft of Berber rugs.
