Blue wool in relief, hand-knotted in Morocco

The blue strokes are made of sheep's wool, hand-knotted knot by knot onto a wool and cotton base, with no added backing. Their long, curly pile stands out clearly from the shorter ecru ground, where the weave shows through: the pattern reads as much by touch as by eye. The fringes are hand-knotted, on both ends, on one end or none, as you prefer and at no extra cost. Each piece is unique: the lines and shades may vary slightly from the photo.

  • Sheep's wool (100%): a natural fibre, warm and hard-wearing, which holds an intense blue and develops a patina over time.
  • Hand-knotted in Morocco: each blue stroke is built up by hand on the wool and cotton base, several weeks of work.
  • Made to measure to the centimetre: free choice of width and length, choice of fringes, the design is knotted for you alone.

Your questions about made to measure

The essential answers before ordering your Berber rug

How do I order a rug in my own dimensions?

Enter the width and length you want, to the centimetre, in the configurator. The price appears instantly: it depends on the surface area of your rug. If your dimensions match a standard size, its exact price applies. Your rug is then knotted to your exact dimensions.

Can I choose the fringes?

Yes, at no extra cost: fringes on both ends, on one end or no fringes. You make this choice when ordering, just below the dimensions.

Will my rug look exactly like the photo?

Each piece is knotted by hand, so it is unique: patterns and density may vary slightly from the photo. These small irregularities are the signature of handwork.

How long does delivery take?

Your rug is made after you order and delivered within 3 weeks. Delivery is free and a tracking link is emailed to you when the parcel leaves.

Can I return a made-to-measure rug?

Yes. As across the whole site, you have 30 days after delivery to return your rug, even when made to your dimensions. Returns are free.

How do I care for a wool Berber rug?

Vacuum regularly without a rotating brush to preserve the pile. If there is a stain, blot it straight away with a dry cloth, without rubbing. For a deep clean, entrust it to a professional rug cleaner.

Where does this rug come from?

It is hand-knotted in Morocco, in mostly sheep’s wool on a wool and cotton base, following the craft of Berber rugs.
